NotebookLM is a specialized GenAI product from Google. You upload documents (like research) and ask questions. For example, an interventionist uploads recent research on literacy support, describes their student in the chat (best practice - no identifying information). They tell the chat where they want the student to be in six weeks, any other relevant information, and ask for ideas on how to support the student. 

Notable Use Cases

• NotebookLM is an AI assistant that bases its answers mainly on the specific documents you upload.  This helps control/align outputs.

• Create a notebook with recent research, and ask it for ideas (like the example above).

• Store research and learning frameworks, and ask questions about them in the chat.

• Generate a podcast, informational video, or other visualizations that summarize an individual or several research papers, websites, videos, etc.

• Source Quality: The teaching materials you create will only be as accurate as the documents you upload.

• Data Privacy: It's important to consider the privacy of any school or lesson materials you upload to the platform.
